Combine tailor-made French classes with a home stay in a French-speaking family, possibly that of (one of) your French teachers and with leisure activities.
What is the secret of success?
Getting tailor-made classes adapted to your needs, however technical, and to your own learning style and abilities, whether you are more visual, kinaesthetic, emotional, or auditory, analytical or artistic…
Whether you are a specialist in a particular area of research or simply wishing to get by as a tourist, we design a course according to your needs.
Do I have to stay at French Class to get tuition there?
No! Each service that is on offer is a separate unit : private classes, accommodation, leisure activities, consulting…
If you want the residential option, you will either stay at French Class in a fully equipped independent studio or at a nearby family. You decide with the family of the number of meals you wish to take (if any), the number of classes or coaching/leisure/personal development activities you wish (if any). For pictures of the studio and the house, see our page “A place To Stay Near Brussels”

The head teacher, Ingrid, has three degrees in conference interpreting, translation, and language teaching methods.
She has been teaching since 1989, all ages and all levels.
Her experience as a conference interpreter is such that she is at ease with specialist subject areas. During the course design stage she studies the given subject area in sufficient depth and in collaboration with the client.
The people who have received specialist private tuition from her include Vladimir Spidla, the former Czech Prime Minister and current European Commissioner, conference interpreters and translators, lawyers, civil engineers, the head of human resources in a multinational, and international businessmen.
She worked with Edinburgh University, Napier University, Heriot-Watt University, Mons University, Université Libre de Bruxelles, The French Institute, Milan Istituto Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori, St John’s International School, Le Verseau International School, and a number of multinational companies (including Alcatel, Petrofina, Volkswagen, Daimler Benz, Solvay, Axa, Fortis, Ily), and students from Louvain-la-Neuve University.
The other teachers, besides their basic qualifications, have attended training in communicative methods. They are friendly and enthusiastic and blend well with the spirit of French Class.
What about my results?
You can take a test on arrival and on departure, which can be delivered to you along with a detailed report on your progress. On arrival, listening and reading comprehension, oral and written expression are examined with a fine-tooth comb. You can be recorded or filmed. On departure you take the same test and so you can see your progress before your very eyes.
The hourly tuition price varies from €35 to €80 depending on the preparation time involved and the volume of a particular course programme (the more hours, the lesser the price)
